A fractional CFO and financial-advisory firm built to give companies and organizations senior, hands-on financial leadership — without the cost of a full-time hire.
Strategic finance for organizations that need more than an accountant.
Cooper Beckwith, LLC provides fractional CFO advisory, accounting and financial operations, regulatory-finance support, and HR leadership to organizations that need senior financial guidance but are not ready for — or do not require — a full-time C-suite hire. Founded by John “Jeb” Beckwith, the firm pairs three decades of operating, private-equity, and capital-markets experience with a disciplined, cost-effective delivery model.
We work with owner-operated businesses, PE-backed portfolio companies, nonprofit organizations, and small depository institutions — bringing board-grade financial leadership to each, sized to the engagement.
Senior-level work product on every engagement. Whether delivered by the U.S. lead or the international team, all work is reviewed by, and accountable to, the Cooper Beckwith U.S. lead — one standard, consistently applied.
A delivery model that combines U.S. financial leadership with experienced international execution, so clients get high-caliber finance support at a cost structure a full-time hire cannot match.
Hands-on partnership. We own the close, the board package, and the forecast — and communicate in plain language to executives, boards, and investors who need to act on the numbers.
Cooper Beckwith is led by John “Jeb” Beckwith, a finance executive with more than 30 years building and leading finance functions across PE-backed, growth-stage companies and global financial institutions — a blend of hands-on operator, strategic partner, and capital-markets leader.
As Chief Financial & Administrative Officer of Clean Origin, a private-equity-backed direct-to-consumer company, he drove a $20M institutional equity raise at a 6x revenue pre-money valuation and guided the business through a successful 2024 sale. Earlier, he served as Managing Director at RBC Capital Markets — leading global financial-institution teams across $600B+ in authorized credit exposure — as Head of the Financial Institutions Practice at GreenPoint, and as Vice President at MUFG. He is a Senior Executive Advisor to Argand Equity Partners and co-author of The Fundamental Review of the Trading Book (Risk Books, 2018).
His work extends to the nonprofit sector: he recently served as interim CFO of Senior Resources of Guilford — an approximately $3M United Way partner agency delivering Meals on Wheels and senior services — running the full finance function through a leadership transition and supporting a clean external audit. Jeb is a graduate of Hamilton College and a member of the High Point University Board of Ambassadors.
Meet the team →Cooper Beckwith combines senior U.S. financial leadership with an experienced international delivery team. This structure lets us deliver high-caliber, reporting-ready work — across U.S. GAAP, IFRS, and Indian Accounting Standards — accurately and cost-effectively, and to scale support up or down as an engagement requires.
The model is deliberate: it gives clients the financial discipline and reporting rigor of a full finance department, at a fraction of the cost, with a single point of accountability. All work product is reviewed by, and accountable to, the Cooper Beckwith U.S. lead.
Most engagements begin with a short conversation about where your finance function is today and where it needs to be.
